Great stuff for teachers, schools, or anybody else that hankers to make wooden crafts from hard maple scrap.  We pack a 12" by 12" by 12" inch box with scrap (un-sanded).  It contains defective blocks, unsorted block stock, plank stock, round stock and other cut-offs and trim we have left over from making blocks.  This totals about 20 lbs.  Every box is different.  You pay the shipping costs plus $4.95 for the box and handling.

 Some customers, with a creative turn of mind, realize that it's possible to integrate some scrap with sets of blocks since much of the material is the same cross section as our blocks, though the lengths may be variable and the scrap has many defects.  This is certainly possible if you have a few tools.  But these are not toys.  Be aware that the content of these boxes depends on what we are chopping at the time.  Sometimes they are pretty interesting; sometimes they are not very interesting.  Using a box of scrap effectively depends a lot on creativity, imagination, and elbow grease.  This is just scrap, the pieces are not sanded on the ends, and it won't work by itself as an economical set of blocks.  If you have a use for scrap and can bring art-teacher savvy to found materials, it's great.  Otherwise, it's just firewood.
